Rules
Submissions close Sun, Oct 25, 1:00 PM ET.
- Who can enter
- Anyone with a hackathon ticket for the MC² Summit.
- Teams
- One to four people. One submission per team. You can change teammates until the deadline.
- Built at the event
- Project work starts at kickoff. Ideas, open-source libraries, public APIs and templates are fine; a project you finished last month is not. Organizers check repository history.
- AI tools
- Fully allowed, no disclosure needed. Be ready to explain how your project works.
- Submission
- Submit in the room through the QR code before the deadline. A public code repository is required. Drafts that were never submitted are not judged.
- Deadline
- Submissions close automatically at the published time. Organizers can extend it for everyone, or for one team with a good reason.
- Demos
- Every team presents a working product in person. A team that doesn't present isn't judged.
- Judging
- Every judge sees every demo and scores five criteria. Scores are adjusted per judge so strict and generous judges count equally. Judges make the final call on awards.
- Conduct
- Be kind, credit others' work, and keep the space safe for everyone. Organizers may remove anyone who doesn't.
- Awards per team
- Each team usually wins one award, and 2 at most, so recognition spreads across the room. Most Likely to Become a Venture doesn't count toward that. Teams that take on pitched challenges are still in the running for every open award.
